Such an interesting portrait Nick... Your work always inspires me to seek out more information about the subject of the portrait. I did some research about Camus and found that the information I discovered enhanced your work even more for me...from what I understand Camus opposed Nihilism and that he, as a philosophy who is credited with "absurdism" also explores the fundamental nature of the Absurd and how human individuals, once becoming conscious of the Absurd, should react to it. "Something is of intrinsic value if it is good or desirable in itself; the contrast is with instrumental value, that is value as a means to some other end or purpose." Your portrait shows to me the life of the subject and is to me a terrific and powerful representation of the life of the man. Thank you for creating interesting, complex, and unique works of art that stir a person's mind to find out more.
